The expansion includes a two-story, modern facility constructed by Banes Construction, adding 33,700 square feet to accommodate FirstLight's growing back- office operations. Designed with efficiency, collaboration, and future growth in mind, the new space will support enhanced operational capacity while creating a more dynamic work environment for employees.

"This expansion represents more than physical growth--it's an investment in our people and our ability to serve members well into the future," said Margie Salazar, President and Chief Executive Officer of FirstLight Federal Credit Union. "By expanding our headquarters, we are ensuring our teams have the space, resources, and environment needed to continue delivering exceptional service to our members and communities."

The project also includes the remodel of FirstLight's existing administrative building, adding an additional 4,800 square feet dedicated to a state-of-the-art training room. This new space will further strengthen employee development, leadership training, and service excellence across the organization.

"This project has been thoughtfully designed to support FirstLight's operational needs today while allowing flexibility for future growth," said Joe Arvizu, VP Administration. "From the modern design to the expanded training capabilities, this facility reflects FirstLight's commitment to long-term success and employee development."

Located in Northeast El Paso, the headquarters expansion is expected to be completed in Spring 2026 and reflects FirstLight's continued investment in innovation, workforce development, and the communities it proudly serves in El Paso, Fort Bliss, and Las Cruces.
