Activating your new Visa debit card is easy.

Once your card arrives in your mailbox, follow the steps below to activate and begin using your card.

Online/Mobile Banking 

• Log into Online or Mobile Banking.
• Click on the “Card Management” tab, then select “Activate.”
• Fill in the required information.
• Update your new card information for recurring charges with merchants and your digital wallet.
• Securely discard your old debit card. For your protection, your existing card will be deactivated no later than September 8, 2019.

Your PIN will remain the same. If you would like to get a new PIN, please call (888) 891-2435. Your PIN will not be sent in the mail.

After your activation has been completed, use your new chip-enhanced and contactless debit card anywhere Visa is accepted.

Using Your Chip-Enhanced Card

When making a transaction with your new chip-enhanced card, it’s important to leave the card in the terminal until the transaction is complete. (if you remove the card too soon, the transaction will end and your purchase will not be processed.)

1. Insert the chip portion of the card into the terminal with the chip facing up
2. Follow the prompts on the terminal screen
3. The terminal will display the purchase amount
4. When your transaction is complete, you will be prompted to remove your card

At restaurants, a portable terminal may be brought to your table. Remember, if a chip terminal is not available, you will still be able to make purchases by swiping your card and signing your receipt.
